Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the www.yacoda.com website (the "Site"), operated by Yacoda BV. By using the Site — including creating an account or signing in — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What these terms cover
These are general terms for using the Site. Specific products and services are governed by their own separate terms, which we provide at the point where you purchase or engage them: our online CasADi training is governed by the Training Terms and Conditions, and our consulting and engineering work by the terms agreed for that engagement. Where those specific terms conflict with these general terms, the specific terms apply to that product or service.
Using the Site
You may use the Site for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You agree to provide accurate information where the Site asks for it, and to keep it up to date. We may change, suspend or withdraw all or part of the Site at any time, and we do not guarantee that the Site or its content will always be available or error-free.
Accounts and signing in
Some features require an account. You can register with an email address, or sign in using a third-party account such as Google or Facebook. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure — tell us promptly at info@yacoda.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You must give accurate account details and keep them current. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or is used unlawfully.
Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone else's rights;
- upload or transmit malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers or accounts;
- disrupt or overload the Site, or interfere with other users;
- scrape, harvest or collect data from the Site or its users without our permission;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation; or
- post content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, offensive, or infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.
Content you post
If you post content on the Site (for example on the forum), you keep any rights you already have in it, and you grant Yacoda a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display that content for the purpose of operating the Site. You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We may remove or moderate content that breaches these terms.
Intellectual property
The Site and its content — including text, design, graphics and the Yacoda name and logo — are owned by Yacoda BV or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to access and use the Site for its intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from the Site's content without our prior written permission, except as the law allows. Open-source software we contribute to (such as CasADi) is governed by its own licence, not these terms.
Third-party services and links
The Site relies on and may link to third-party services — for example sign-in providers, payment processing and content delivery. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for third-party websites or services we do not control.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. By using the Site you acknowledge that we process personal data as described there.
Disclaimer
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, or that the content is complete or accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yacoda is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Belgian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute relating to the Site or these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
